Eric Jackson was the project manager on the autonomous underwater
vehicle ARCS, built by ISE Research in 1984.
ARCS demonstrated autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance
capabilities in 1984 and 1985.
ARCS has since been used for a number of technology
demonstration programs and is still available for work.
