Eric Jackson was the project manager and chief engineer on this
project. The STVF Testbed Verification Facility manipulator system was
started in September, 1998 and delivered to the Canadian Space Agency in
June, 2000.
The STVF manipulator system is a very sophisticated hydraulically powered
robotic manipulator with torque control on all actuators. It provides
smooth motion down to 0.1 degrees per second and is gravity compensated.
