• Mineral Exploration

Cellula seafloor drills and seafloor drill componenets are used by our clients to characterize the potential yield of subsea mineral claims.  Cellula drills and drill components  have been used offshore from Papua New Guinea to Japan in the exploration of Seafloor Massive Sulphide (SMS) deposits. These can contain appreciable concentrations of copper, zinc, gold, silver and other trace metals.
  • Methane Hydrate Exploration

As the demand for new energy reserves continues to grow, Cellula’s clients have been using subsea drills to undertake extensive surveys of Methane Gas Hydrate deposits as the first step in exploiting this challenging, but potentially valuable resource.  Cellula drills have been used around the Asia Pacific region by a number of teams.

  • Subsea Geotechnical Analysis

All structures deployed onto the seafloor require knowledge of soil properties in order to define suitable foundations for these applications.  Cellula drills have been used by our clients to develop this data for offshore wind turbines in the North Sea.
