Schmidt Ocean Institute - ROV Suction Sampler
Schmidt Ocean Institute, a private non-profit operating foundation with a focus on oceanographic research, was looking to build a suction sampler for use with their ROVs. Cellula was chosen as a manufacturer based on past success and experiences in previous subsea water sampling projects, such as the previous Autonomous Plankton Sampler made for University of Delaware.

Mitsubishi - CRD100 Boring Machine System
Cellula was contracted in partnership with Fukada to manufacture a similar boring machine system (BMS) for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI).The BMS would satisfy various seafloor applications, specifically focused on mineral exploration work. This includes Seafloor Massive Sulphides (SMS), methane gas hydrates and manganese crusts.

University of Delaware - Autonomous Plankton Sampler
Prior to 2010, University of Delaware's College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment faculty began to recognize a serious oceanographic community-wide deficiency in the ability to collect and preserve biological samples across a broad spectrum of oceanographic platforms.
Blue Ocean - Subsea Valve Pack
Based on Cellula's previous experience with developing Helix's well intervention subsea distribution units, subsea control modules and subsea safety modules in 2013, Cellula undertook the creation of a valve pack for Blue Ocean's well intervention system.

Fukada - "Unicorn-1" Seafloor Drill
In 2013, Fukada Salvage and Marine Works Co. approached Cellula Robotics for assistance on creating an ambitious and advanced drill system that would provide Fukada with a cost-effective mineral exploration and geotechnical sampling solution.
AUV Telescoping Mast
The main objective of this project was to complete a preliminary design for an AUV Sensor Mast system for a leading ROV and AUV design and integration company.

British Geological Survey - Tool Handling Manipulators
Cellula Robotics Ltd. (CRL) designed & manufactured the hydraulically actuated tool arm (manipulator) used by BGS to move drilling tools into and out of tool racks on their subsea remotely operated drill rig, RD2. The tool arm has 310° of horizontal rotation, 590mm of horizontal extension and 260mm of vertical compliance. The gripper jaws can accommodate tools up to 73mm diameter.

Fukada - Seafloor Excavator Tool Skid
In 2006, Cellula Robotics Ltd. successfully developed a Cutting Test Excavator for Placer Dome / Nautilus Minerals and operated it for in-situ cutting tests on their Solwara-1 orebody. The Excavator recovered 20 tonnes of material, including approximately 15 tonnes of bulk sample cuttings. Based on this, Fukada came to Cellula expressing interest in the capability to excavate a trench and take bulk samples using an excavator.
Forum Energy Technologies - ROVdrill M80/3 Tooling
Previously, Cellula Robotics Ltd. developed the tool handling manipulators for the original Canyon Rovdrills, the Seafloor Geoservices M80 Rovdrill, and the new generation Canyon Rovdrills.Over a four-year timespan, Cellula was contracted to create various components, tools and upgrades for the ROVdrill M80/3.
